National Risk Register — Excess Time
The Department’s contribution to the National Risk Register.
Excess Time is assessed as a low-probability risk with localised effects in most instances.
The Department does not invite the public to prepare beyond ordinary household resilience.
Where an event produces demonstrable effects upon public life, local authorities remain the first responders for welfare. The Department attends to continuity.
